Web site touts SmartCraft networking

MotoTron, a unit of Brunswick New Technologies, has a new Web site designed to provide information on its "SmartCraft Networked" program.

The SmartCraft Networked program engages independent firms in the development of new products and features that expand the SmartCraft integration program started by Mercury Marine, a unit of Brunswick Corp., in 1998.

The new Web site, www.smartcraftnetworked.com, will serve as a central location for anyone who would like to learn more about the expanding SmartCraft system or needs general product integration documents and information, according to Phil Gaynor, business manager for MotoTron's marine initiative.

For established SmartCraft partners, the site also will provide Web access to the very specific SmartCraft documentation required for new product and new feature development.

"In addition, the site has also been designed to inform and educate our original equipment manufacturing customers on the value and features that the SmartCraft program continues to offer them," Gaynor said in a statement. "The site will contain a constant stream of new product information, new partner information and new technical documents. We also plan to use this site to post helpful field integration documents, and advice to make the implementation of SmartCraft technologies even simpler."
