How SmartCraft Integration Works
Integration is achieved through SmartCraft’s proprietary data bus architecture, which enables a wide range
of products and vessel systems to communicate with a boat’s engine system and with each other.
This communication is carefully engineered so that the information and control capabilities between products
can be "intelligently" combined to produce added value for consumers, that is, new capabilities that enhance
boating safety, reliability and enjoyment. For example, Navman, a leading global positioning systems and marine
electronics company, has integrated its advanced fish finder and chart plotter products with SmartCraft through
our SmartCraft Networked program. As a result, boaters on SmartCraft-equipped vessels can not only access
engine running information, they can also digitally set engine trolling speeds based on the type of fish that are being
displayed on the Navman fish finder.
Products currently integrated with SmartCraft include engines, generators, inverters, fish finders, chart plotters, switching
systems and environmental sensors and instruments.
