SmartCraft Architecture
Most boats built in the past 10 years have systems equipped with computers or electronic control modules (ECMs)
that house detailed, critical information about a vessel. ECMs provide the "brains" that control everything from the
engine and AC power generators to HVAC and digital switching.
SmartCraft's design uniquely connects the engine ECM with the ECMs from a wide range of vessel products and
systems, enabling them to communicate with each other, share information and transmit it via a single wire
connection to an entire instrument display at the helm.
SmartCraft's architecture enables us to deliver vessel integration systems that are superior in terms of safety,
reliability and expandability.
SmartCraft's architecture is based on popular CAN (Controlled Area Network) data bus technology, that is
implemented across three independent pairs of CAN data communication lines (CAN X, CAN P and CAN V).
